DeGaris’ career started as a law clerk for United States District Court Judge E. B. Haltom. Later, he was appointed as a Staff Attorney to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta, Georgia, where he contributed significantly to researching and drafting legal opinions. He then served as an Associate at Johnson & Cory in Birmingham, Alabama, concentrating on various aspects of complex civil trial practice.
After serving as a founding partner in the law firm Cory, Watson, Crowder, and DeGaris for nearly two decades (1995-2014), DeGaris went on to truly define his career. In 2015, DeGaris founded DeGaris Law, LLC, specializing in personal injury, wrongful death, and mass tort litigation involving defective medical devices and pharmaceutical drugs.
