Explore the journey of Filipe Trindade, whose resilience and networking led him to a spot on “Meet The Drapers,” the investment reality show spearheaded by Tim Draper, the visionary investor in Tesla and Space X.

Filipe Trindade’s academic record was less than stellar; he struggled through school, consistently clashing with the conventional educational framework. However, it was his unyielding perseverance and innate curiosity that steered him towards an entrepreneurial path fraught with obstacles, eventually positioning him as a beacon of success in the startup ecosystem. Hailing from Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, this 35-year-old has etched an impressive trajectory in both national and global entrepreneurial landscapes.

Armed with a degree in International Relations, Filipe embarked on his entrepreneurial voyage at the age of 23. His first venture, a restaurant, ended in failure but served as a crucial learning curve. Over time, he launched several startups, amassing a wealth of knowledge and an extensive network in the business realm. His efforts were recognized in 2015 when he was awarded the Young Entrepreneur award by the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, a recognition that catalyzed his career and opened avenues for future ventures.

Beginning in 2018, Filipe made his way to Silicon Valley, persistently seeking to connect with leading investors and entrepreneurs. Despite numerous setbacks, he finally encountered an opportunity that would mark a turning point in his career.

In 2021, Filipe earned a scholarship to Draper University and relocated to Silicon Valley. His proximity to Tim Draper, a titan in venture capital, led to an invitation to become a part of “Meet the Drapers,” a Sony International reality show, making him the first Brazilian juror on the globe’s most significant investment reality show.

The year 2023 saw Tim Draper in Brazil for the Know How Experience in São Paulo, reinforcing their connection. This collaboration also introduced the Draper Startup House accelerator to Brazil, in partnership with the Know How Club.

Being in the orbit of Tim Draper allowed Filipe unparalleled access to some of the world’s most influential entrepreneurs, with networking emerging as his most potent tool for drawing investors, mentors, and business collaborators. “The experience of being a juror on the largest investment reality show in the world is incredible. Meeting Tim Draper and engaging with these major investors and global billionaires was a massive dream of mine,” reflects Filipe.

Beyond his entrepreneurial pursuits, Filipe indulges in hobbies such as surfing, fitness, reading, and travel. He is deeply committed to philanthropy, spearheading social initiatives in Campo Grande that empower local entrepreneurs and motivate underprivileged youth to chase their dreams.

Filipe is forward-looking, aiming to internationalize his “Know How Club” startup into a global entrepreneurship hub, offering financial support to startups and small and medium-sized enterprises. His life is guided by principles of persistence, resilience, and the drive to exert a positive impact, proving that success and expansion can be achieved with minimal resources but robust networking. Additionally, the Know How Club is on the verge of transitioning into a fintech by 2024, promising even broader horizons for success.
