Edna Freeman on Advocating for Safer Environments for Children

Experience, they say, is the best teacher, even though bouncing back from a bad experience can really be challenging for people. In fact, some people have turned their experiences to fuel their career. One such person is Edna Freeman, whose story is inspiring since she has dedicated her life to inspiring millions of children and helping them navigate through life irrespective of what it throws at them.

Edna Freeman is an aspiring author, mother who grew up in a broken home and a toxic environment in her native home Brazil. Through sheer strength and drive, she persevered until she was given a new lease of life in the form of a relocation to the United States.

Upon arrival in the US, Edna, who had lost everything, including her motivation, took solace in the fact that she is unbeatable as long as she doesn’t stop striving. With an infant daughter who would one day grow up to be like her, her confidence and zeal was restored.

On her journey as an author, Edna Freeman has written several children’s books, most recently My New Friend, thoroughly demonstrating to young children that when parents leave, they will also return and inspire them to make new friends. My New Friend is illustrated by Arabage N. Priyadarshani and written in English and Portuguese. It is available on Amazon Kindle and is well on its way to being published on hardcover. She is also working on a few novels set to hit the shelves soon.

As a writer and author, Edna has no specific target audience; for her, anyone who finds her experiences motivating or anyone who is looking to bounce back from a harrowing experience should pick up a copy of Edna’s publication.

Edna has dreamt of authoring a piece that will change millions of lives worldwide. And now she has established herself as an entrepreneur with the help of social media platforms like Instagram and other famous writers who share their thoughts on her work every day.

Edna has been a voice of advocacy for safe and supportive environments where children can thrive. Her experience with trauma is what drives her efforts in order to help others who are experiencing similar pain that she went through as a child. Achieving this goal involves being present during critical periods when they need it most: infancy, preschool development, adolescence, and even adulting. Edna gives young ones all the tools needed so they don’t fall behind at any stage along life’s journey.

“When I’m not spending time with my beautiful kids and husband, I love listening to music, writing, and watching shows independently. I also love to treat myself to delicious food and travel adventures. I have learned a lot through the years, and I am happy to help people from all walks of life,” Edna said.
