Can you tell us a bit about your background and how you got started in the HVAC industry?
Stan Pakarin: I was born in Russia, and was inspired by my father, a successful entrepreneur in the food service industry. I pursued a Master’s degree in Economics and Management, specializing in Trade and Public Catering, which gave me a strong foundation in business. After moving to the US, I worked as a service technician in San Jose. This hands-on experience led me to co-found Fuse Service Inc. in 2018 with my partner Ruslan Khusniyarov. Since then, we’ve grown the company into a leading provider of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing services.

What inspired you to start Fuse Service Inc., and what was your vision for the company?
Stan Pakarin: I wanted to create a company that prioritizes energy efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. Fuse Service was born out of the desire to offer innovative HVAC solutions that improve indoor air quality, reduce energy consumption, and enhance comfort for residential and commercial clients. Our goal is to be a leader in the HVAC industry, not just in revenue but also in technological innovation and environmental responsibility.
Fuse Service has grown significantly since its inception. What do you attribute this success to?
Stan Pakarin: Our success stems from prioritizing customer satisfaction, investing in training and technology, and embracing innovation. We ensure every job is done right the first time, and our technicians are highly skilled and certified. We’ve integrated smart HVAC systems and renewable energy solutions, setting us apart from competitors. Our franchising model has also allowed us to expand rapidly across the US, bringing our high standards to more communities.
Fuse Service has a strong focus on sustainability. How does this align with your personal values and the company’s mission?
Stan Pakarin: Sustainability is at the core of everything we do. I believe businesses have a responsibility to contribute to environmental conservation. Our services improve indoor air quality and comfort while reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. This aligns with global efforts to combat climate change and promote sustainable living. By focusing on energy efficiency and renewable energy, we’re helping clients save money and contributing to a healthier planet.
You’ve expanded Fuse Service through franchising. What has that process been like, and what are your goals for the future?
Stan Pakarin: Fuse Franchising has been a key part of our growth strategy. We currently almost 50 active offices across the U.S. and plan to expand! Our goal is to make Fuse Service a household name in the HVAC industry, known for quality, reliability, and innovation. We provide franchisees with comprehensive training and support, ensuring they uphold our high standards. By expanding, we’re creating job opportunities and contributing to local economies.
You’ve also established the Fuse School of HVACR, Electrical & Plumbing. What inspired you to start this initiative?
Stan Pakarin: I wanted to give back to the industry and help train the next generation of HVAC professionals. There’s a growing demand for skilled technicians, and Fuse School offers hands-on courses on system design, equipment repair, and energy efficiency. Taught by experienced instructors, the school helps address the skills gap in the HVAC industry and prepares students for rewarding careers.
What challenges have you faced in building Fuse Service, and how have you overcome them?
Stan Pakarin: Scaling the company while maintaining quality was a major challenge. We developed a comprehensive training program and implemented strict quality control measures to ensure every franchise adhered to our standards. Staying ahead of technological advancements was another challenge. We’ve invested in research and development to keep up with industry trends, turning these challenges into opportunities for growth.
What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs, especially those looking to enter the HVAC industry?
Stan Pakarin: Focus on customer satisfaction, innovation, and sustainability. Build a reputation for reliability and quality service. Embrace new technologies, as the industry is constantly evolving. Think about the long-term impact of your business, and never stop learning. Continuous learning is essential for success.
Looking ahead, what are your goals for Fuse Service in the next 5 to 10 years?
Stan Pakarin: We aim to continue growing and innovating. We plan to capture a 20% market share in the San Jose area. We’ll expand our franchise network, increase our market share, and further develop renewable energy initiatives. In the long term, we want Fuse Service to be recognized as a global leader in the HVAC industry, making a positive impact on the environment, our clients, and the communities we serve.
Finally, what motivates you to keep pushing forward, even in the face of challenges?
Stan Pakarin: The impact we’re making motivates me. Every time we install a new HVAC system or help a client reduce their energy bills, I know we’re making a difference. I’m also motivated by the people I work with—our employees, franchisees, and clients. Seeing their success and knowing we’re contributing to their well-being is incredibly rewarding. Success isn’t just about financial gain; it’s about creating something meaningful that benefits others. That’s what drives me to keep pushing forward.
