The Dry Diaries: Unfiltered Conversations, Unapologetic Truths

By: Maison De Noi

In a world flooded with polished, cookie-cutter podcasts, The Dry Diaries offers a refreshing change. Hosted by Alex Dry, this show doesn’t try to be great; instead, it’s all about real, unfiltered conversations, raw stories, and tackling topics that make you think. It’s a podcast that doesn’t just skim the surface—it dives deep, and Alex invites listeners into a space where they can be their true selves. No fluff, no filters, just authentic content that resonates with anyone craving something real in a world that can sometimes feel a little too fake.

Why The Dry Diaries Might Be Different from Everything Else

Let’s be honest—there are a lot of podcasts out there, and it can feel like many of them say the same thing. The Dry Diaries may be different because it doesn’t try to fit into a box. It’s not just about wellness, self-help, or getting better. It’s about embracing the ups and downs of life, the messy parts that many people prefer to ignore. Whether Alex is sharing personal experiences, diving into something unexpected like conspiracy theories, or talking about her career reinvention, the show always feels genuine.

The beauty of The Dry Diaries is that it’s real. It’s not about delivering a polished, picture-perfect message—it’s about having honest conversations and letting listeners feel like they’re part of something bigger. It’s okay to not have everything figured out, and Alex’s willingness to share her own struggles may help listeners reflect on their own journeys.

Every episode feels like sitting down with a friend who isn’t afraid to be vulnerable, talk about things that matter, and laugh at the absurdity of life. It’s a place where listeners can embrace their imperfections and find connection in the fact that we’re all just figuring it out as we go.

About the Author and Host Behind the Podcast

Before launching The Dry Diaries, Alex was already making a name for herself in the digital world. As a social media marketing expert, she worked with brands like TikTok and collaborated with celebrities. But rather than sticking to the typical influencer path, Alex wanted to create something different—something more real.

She wanted to build a space where authenticity wasn’t just a buzzword, and where people could listen to content that didn’t feel like it was just another carefully curated post designed to sell something. Starting The Dry Diaries was Alex’s way of stepping off the influencer treadmill and building something that felt more personal, more genuine.

In addition to the podcast, Alex is the founder of DripDry Swim, a swimwear brand that shares the same creative, bold, and inclusive spirit as the podcast. Through both ventures, Alex’s goal is clear: to create content and products that encourage people to embrace who they truly are, imperfections and all.

More Than a Podcast: How The Dry Diaries Became a Movement

Alex’s vision for The Dry Diaries goes beyond just being a podcast; it’s about building a community. She wants listeners to feel empowered to think critically, challenge societal norms, and importantly, be themselves. The podcast is a space where listeners don’t just hear Alex’s story—they get to reflect on their own, too.

Each episode of The Dry Diaries is an invitation to join in on a conversation that’s real and unpolished. It’s a place where you can hear about the struggles, the growth, and the learning that comes with being human. Whether it’s a deep dive into mental health, self-discovery, or simply questioning why things are the way they are, Alex creates a space that feels inclusive, honest, and relatable.

At its core, The Dry Diaries is all about being real and letting listeners feel like they’re part of something authentic. In a world where we’re constantly told to put on a pretty face, this podcast shows that it’s okay to be imperfect. It’s okay to talk about things that are messy, hard, or uncomfortable. Those conversations are the ones that matter.

She’s building a community where listeners can engage with her in real time, share their own stories, and be part of the conversation.

You can listen to The Dry Diaries on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Apple Music. It’s a podcast that reminds you that you don’t need to be great to have a story, and you don’t need to have everything figured out to make real connections.

In a world full of polished content, The Dry Diaries stands out by embracing the imperfect, the messy, and the real. It’s a reminder that authenticity is something we all crave and that sometimes, the powerful thing we can do is simply be ourselves.

Unraveling the Mystery of Love: Marilyn Schlitz’s Unique Perspective

By: Steven Stuart

Blending scientific inquiry with the art of storytelling, Marilyn Schlitz’s Love Study explores love not just as an emotion but as a transformative force that can shape lives. In this conversation, Schlitz delves into the inspiration behind her novel, its cinematic possibilities, and the ways in which it challenges our understanding of human connection.

From Scientific Discovery to Fictional Narrative

Schlitz’s journey toward writing Love Study began with her pioneering research on the power of intention. She and her team conducted studies on whether loving thoughts from one partner could create measurable physiological changes in the other, particularly in cases involving illness. Their findings revealed undeniable links between love, healing, and human connection.

Rather than limit her insights to academic circles, Schlitz chose fiction as a vehicle to explore the nuances of love in a more immersive way. “Science gives us facts, but stories allow us to feel those truths,” she explains. Through Love Study, she brings complex research to life, making it accessible and emotionally resonant for a broad audience.

A Story Ready for the Big Screen

Schlitz envisions Love Study as more than just a book—it has the potential to thrive as a television series or film. She compares its dynamic characters and intellectual intrigue to The Big Bang Theory, imagining a lively research team whose studies on love intertwine with their personal relationships.

At the center of it all is Grace, a researcher whose quest to understand love turns into a deeply personal journey. As she navigates both scientific breakthroughs and emotional challenges, the story’s cinematic appeal becomes evident—full of drama, humor, and moments of profound self-realization.

The Science and Soul of Love

What sets Love Study apart is its balance between scientific rigor and emotional depth. The book explores traditional scientific methods alongside more holistic perspectives, including energy fields and the deeper, intangible aspects of human connection.

As Grace’s study unfolds, she comes to understand that love defies strict measurement. “She enters the research believing she can quantify love,” Schlitz shares, “but she soon realizes it’s far more mysterious and unpredictable than she ever imagined.” This interplay between science and personal experience is what gives Love Study its depth and authenticity.

The Dual Nature of Love: Light and Shadow

Love isn’t always simple, and neither is Schlitz’s portrayal of it. While the novel explores love’s power to heal, it also tackles betrayal, loss, and ethical dilemmas. When Grace and her colleagues uncover corruption within their research institution, the novel highlights the tension between scientific integrity and personal ambition.

These conflicts add layers to the narrative, emphasizing that love—whether romantic, platonic, or self-directed—is often intertwined with struggle. “Love is not just about joy,” Schlitz notes. “It’s also about resilience, discovery, and sometimes, heartbreak.”

A Personal and Universal Exploration

On a deeper level, Love Study reflects Schlitz’s own experiences with love and intention. She recalls setting an intention to find the perfect partner, only to let go of that desire and, in doing so, unexpectedly meet her future husband. This paradox—between actively seeking love and surrendering to its natural course—is a theme that resonates throughout the novel.

Ultimately, Love Study challenges readers to see love as both a personal journey and a force that connects all of humanity. Whether in the form of scientific study or lived experience, love remains one of the most compelling mysteries of human existence—one that Schlitz invites us all to explore.

Navigating Overseas Property Markets: Key Insights From Michael Cobb

By: Steve James

Investing in real estate overseas is an exciting yet complex endeavor, requiring a deep understanding of legal frameworks, cultural nuances, and market dynamics. Michael Cobb, an industry expert and founder of ECI Development, provides invaluable insights to help buyers navigate the intricacies of international property ownership while avoiding costly mistakes.

The Key Differences Between Domestic and International Property Markets

Purchasing property in developing countries differs significantly from buying in North America or Europe. In well-regulated markets, consumer protection laws favor buyers, ensuring that properties meet certain standards. However, in many overseas locations, the principle shifts to “buyer beware.” Without stringent regulatory safeguards, investors must take extra precautions to avoid fraud, incomplete paperwork, or unexpected construction flaws—such as finding out a tropical home lacks hot water plumbing.

Cobb advises prospective buyers to avoid making impulsive decisions. Many individuals experience what he refers to as “Margarita Madness,” where excitement leads to hasty property purchases. Taking the time to step back and conduct thorough research can help buyers make more informed decisions.

The Importance of Professional Guidance

Working with trusted, independent professionals is critical when buying abroad. Cobb stresses the need for an experienced local attorney—one unaffiliated with the seller—to ensure contracts are legally sound. Many embassies provide lists of qualified, English-speaking lawyers for buyers to consider.

Additionally, seeking the expertise of a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) can be highly beneficial. While hiring professionals may add to the initial cost, it provides security and helps buyers avoid legal and financial complications.

Cultural Considerations That Can Impact Property Purchases

Beyond legal and financial matters, cultural differences can also shape the home-buying experience. In Latin America, for example, showers in many homes are designed for cold water use only—something foreign buyers may overlook during inspections. Similarly, local architectural norms, such as closed-off kitchens built with the assumption of hired domestic staff, may not align with North American preferences for open-plan designs.

Another crucial consideration is what comes included in a property purchase. In many international markets, fixtures, appliances, and even basic utilities like internet wiring are not part of the sale. Understanding these nuances upfront can help buyers budget appropriately and avoid surprises.

The Vision Behind ECI Development

Cobb’s journey into international real estate began in Belize in the early 1990s, where he founded a mortgage company. While assessing properties, he noticed a disconnect between local construction practices and the expectations of North American buyers. Issues such as poorly placed electrical outlets and inadequate lighting were common sources of frustration.

This experience led Cobb to establish ECI Development in 1996 with a clear mission: to create homes that cater to foreign buyers while respecting local culture. By addressing small but significant details, ECI has successfully built communities that feel both familiar and welcoming to international residents.

Building Sustainable and Thriving Communities

ECI Development adopts a holistic approach to property development, combining modern conveniences with sustainability. Cobb notes that a larger scale of development, typically around 200 to 300 homes, can encourage the growth of local businesses such as cafés, shops, and medical facilities, which may contribute to a more vibrant community.

Beyond economic sustainability, ECI prioritizes environmental and social responsibility. Poverty in developing regions often leads to deforestation and unsustainable farming practices. By creating stable jobs through real estate projects, ECI helps mitigate these issues, fostering long-term sustainability.

Practical Advice for First-Time Overseas Investors

For those considering investing in international real estate, Cobb suggests taking proactive steps. He proposes that investors might consider allocating a portion of their portfolios to overseas property as a way to diversify against potential economic uncertainty in their home countries.

He also highlights the importance of distinguishing between perceived and actual risks. Many people hesitate to invest abroad due to unfamiliarity, yet they accept more significant risks in everyday life—such as texting while driving. Cobb advises buyers to rely on data and expert insights rather than fear when making investment decisions.

Creating a Lasting Legacy

Cobb’s work at ECI Development goes beyond building homes; it’s about fostering long-term communities where families can create lasting memories. By constructing quality homes and focusing on sustainable economic growth, ECI’s projects aim to support long-term stability.

Ultimately, Cobb’s vision is to empower buyers to leave their own legacy—whether that means securing a dream home in paradise, making a profitable investment, or supporting ethical development in emerging markets. By taking a strategic approach to international real estate, buyers can enjoy both financial rewards and a fulfilling lifestyle abroad.
