Errol Musk,  Elon’s father revealed to the British tabloid The Sun on Wednesday that he had a second, previously unidentified kid with his stepdaughter, Jana Bezuidenhout, in 2019. This revelation has many people curious about the identity of the father of the richest man in the world.

The interview also revealed that Errol, who was born in 1946, had not ruled out having more children. However, he told The Sun, repeating his (estranged) son’s view on having many kids, “The only thing we are on Earth for is reproduction.

According to the book, “Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future,” a 2017 biography of Elon Musk by Bloomberg writer Ashlee Vance, he was an engineer and supported a nice lifestyle in the early days of the Musk family in the South African capital, Pretoria.

His first wife, Maye Musk, a supermodel and dietician, claimed in the book that Errol pursued her relentlessly before she wed him in 1970. Elon Musk was born on June 28, 1971. His siblings are Tosca and Kimbal. In the book, Errol’s relatives spoke about how much he enjoyed traveling with them, how smart he was, and how he loved to teach them through doing, like by taking them to construction sites relevant to his business.

There was obviously a dark side, though. Maye claimed Errol physically and emotionally assaulted her in a 2019 interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “He’s good at making people’s lives unpleasant; that much is certain. No matter how favorable a circumstance may be, he has the ability to make it worse, “According to Elon in Vance’s book. In a 2017 interview with Rolling Stone, Elon referred to him as a “bad human being” and said similar things.

In an email to Rolling Stone, Errol stated that he has been “accused of being a Gay, a Misogynist, a Paedophile, a Traitor, a Rat, an S-t,” but that he loves his “children and would happily do everything for them.” In 2018, he admitted to being “very horrible” in his marriage to Maye to Business Insider South Africa.

When contacted through what appears to be his LinkedIn profile, Errol did not react right away.

According to the New York Post, Errol Musk apparently opposed apartheid and sat on the Pretoria City Council, in addition to his relationships with his family.

There has been considerable controversy about Errol’s financial situation, the author said, except from the fact that he was a highly “brilliant engineer,” as Elon called it in Vance’s book, who was able to provide his children books, trips, and novelties like computers.

Errol was described as “extremely rich” by Maye in the 2019 Harper’s interview.

Elon Refutes Errol’s claims

In a Tweet, Elon refuted Errol’s claim that he had a portion of an emerald mine in South Africa; according to BI South Africa, “He lacked an emerald mine, and I struggled my way through college, accruing almost $100,000 in debt. At Zip2, I was unable to even purchase a second PC, so I programmed at night and ran my website only during the day. So what is this nonsense about?”
